Whats happening with Halle Berry in Hout Bay?

Continuing work on her new project, Halle Berry was spotted on the set of “Dark Tide” yesterday afternoon (August 16).

The “Monster’s Ball” babe looked to be a bit overwhelmed as she made her way onto a dock after her boat broke down while shooting scenes in Hout Bay, Cape Town, South Africa.

And though she’s been spending all kinds of time on the set with her handsome costar Olivier Martinez, rumors of an off-screen romance are completely unfounded.

According to Gossip Cop, any reports that Halle and Olivier are participating in extra-curricular hooking up are just tabloid attempts to sell issues.

Free-diving teen takes last breath

Free-diving teen takes last breath

Taken from the Cape Argus By Leila Samodien

The body of a teenager has been recovered after he drowned while free diving off the cliffs between the Sentinel and Duiker Island in Hout Bay.

Bernard da Silva, 19, from Hangberg in Hout Bay, was apparently free diving with two friends late on Friday afternoon.

When he failed to come up after a dive, his friends alerted a caretaker at the nearby sewerage plant, who contacted the authorities.

The National Sea Rescue Institute deployed a rescue team as soon as they were alerted. However, Brad Geyser, NSRI station commander in Hout Bay, said that by that time almost 30 minutes had passed since Da Silva went under.

They had sent rescue volunteers and three rescue boats – one from Kommetjie and two from Hout Bay. In addition, there had been response from the Cape Town Fire and Rescue Services, the Metro Ambulance and Rescue Services, and a local security team. The Police Dive Unit joined the search later.

When Da Silva had not been found by nightfall, they called off the search for the night.

On Saturday Da Silva’s body was found in the high-water area near where he had gone missing the day before.

Geyser said the area was dangerous for free diving. “It’s not safe because there are a couple of rocks with channels running underneath them. This causes suction, and it’s easy for people to get trapped.”

Spotted! Halle Berry dines in Hout Bay

halle berry

Halle Berry has been spending the last few weeks in Cape Town, filming her new movie Dark Tide, and so far she’s managed to keep out of the public eye, except for a few pics of her in a wetsuit and bikini while shooting on location in Simon’s Town.

But we’ve just heard from the management of KITIMA in Hout Bay that she enjoyed a very private, very exclusive dinner at their restaurant on Thursday night.
