Great views of Hout Bay, crash landing included…

Launching from Clifton, flying South over Camps Bay, Llandudno, turn around near Hout Bay, back over the Twelve Apostles, got caught in a thermal, ran out of juice, emergency landing above Camps Bay. Some lessons learnt and some awesome views!

The Sandcastle Competition has come and gone, Hout Bay

Cape Town, April 14 — Buckets and spades were the weapons of choice for an art competition in Cape Town on Saturday. Teachers, learners and the community gathered at Hout Bay beach, where they put on their creative caps and got to work sculpting sand models. Sea creatures happened to be a popular subject, with a smiling whale and turtle being made. But it wasn’t just about building castles in the sand. The local pre-primary school who coordinated the project says the annual event raises funds to improve education in Hout Bay.
