MEC signs off new Chapman’s Peak toll fees near Hout Bay

MEC signs off new Chapman’s Peak toll fees near Hout Bay
Taken from ewn.co.za/ Rafiq Wagiet:

Chapman’s Peak Toll Road tariffs are set to increase from 1 July, but not by much.

Most modes of transport will pay a mere R1 extra to use the pass, taking the fee for regular vehicles to R31.

The fee for heavy duty vehicles will go up by R13.

Western Cape Transport Department spokesperson Steven Otter said Transport MEC Robin Carlisle has signed off on the new fees.

“The increases that the minister has signed off are inflation related. We strongly believe that Chapman’s Peak Drive with its much improved service that has resulted in road closures happening more and more rarely, is actually value for money,” he said.
