Taxi to Hout Bay and who is fighting for the right

Taxi to Hout Bay and who is fighting for the right
Taken from www.eyewitnessnews.co.za/ Chanel September:
Cape Town Traffic Services confirmed that there was a flare up in taxi violence in Hout bay on Wednesday morning.

It appears rival taxi associations are again fighting over the Cape Town/Hout Bay route.

Previous unrest led to the stabbing of a taxi driver a week ago.

Traffic spokesperson Merle Lourens said the situation is under control at the moment.

“We’ve got our officers out in Hout Bay with SAPS and metro police. We have had reports of the illegal taxi drivers stoning the legal ones. It is not serious. The situation is at hand and there was no disruption to traffic,” she said.
