The library wants to reopen soon but need the support of the community. We need the following donations: cupboards, chairs, shelves. We also need volunteers to run projects in and outside the library and any sponsors who wants to invest in the library will be welcome. HELP FEED A HUNGRY HOUT BAY CHILD FOR 5
WEEKS DURING THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS (JUNE TO JULY 2010)
IF ONE PERSON DONATES R200 (TWO HUNDRED RAND) –IN NON-PERISHABLE FOOD OR CASH, HE/SHE WILL BE FEEDING ONE CHILD DURING THIS PERIOD
THE CHILDREN FROM THE DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITIES RECEIVE FOOD DAILY FROM THE SCHOOLS AND THEREFORE DURING THE HOLIDAYS WE HAVE TO RELY ON THE LOCAL SOUP KITCHENS – WE HAVE VOLUNTEERS THAT WOULD ASSIST IN PREPARING THE FOOD, BUT WE NEED NON PERISHABLE FOOD.
LOCAL CHARITIES AND NGO’S HAVE PULLED TOGETHER VOLUNTEERS AND RESOURCES TO PROVIDE A 5 WEEK HOLIDAY PROGRAM.
THE CHILDREN WILL BE ENTERTAINED THROUGH SPORT, DRAMA, EDUCATION, LIFE SKILLS, ART, CRAFTS, FACE PAINTING, BOAT TRIPS & GENERAL FUN.
