The NSRI are appealing to anyone with information on the current whereabouts of a Sunvalley, Noordhoek, resident who has been missing since Saturday night after last being seen wandering on the slopes of Chapman’s Peak below Chapman’s Peak Drive.

The exhibition is named ‘Altered States – A view from the Savannah” and is an exploration of wildlife art through a new perspective with stark contrasts and desaturated or monotone imagery. Hout Bay resident commentates for the visually impaired at the World Cup

Tom Purcell, a Hout Bay resident, has been hard at work at the World Cup soccer offering a unique service to visually impaired spectators.

This is a short description of the work he is doing:

Exciting news in the build up to the 2010 FIFA World Cup™. FIFA, the Swiss National Association
for the Blind (SNAB) and the South African National Council for the Blind (SANCB) have teamed-
up to provide an Audio Description Project at 44 matches in six of the 2010 FIFA World Cup
stadiums. The project which was initiated by the Swiss NAB is funded by FIFA and operated by the
SANCB.
