MAfrika will entertain and inspire children with her vision of a world of hope, love and awesome possibility, when she makes her debut appearance at FamFest at the Constantia Sports Complex on Saturday 30 November and Sunday 1 December.

Multi-talented actress Nicola Jackman originally created MAfrika as a “Care Clown” when visiting hospitals. But the 6-year-old “emerald green” character has developed a life of her own and now stars in a highly interactive 50 minute edu-tainment show, which teaches children how to release fear, laugh loads and learn that love is the most powerful choice.

Jackman, who was named 2013 Glamour Magazine Women of the Year and describes herself as a “fear fighter” and “joy activist”, says MAfrika was created to grow love, joy and unity in the world.

Presented by Jackman’s The UPliftment Program, which works with Care Clowns (who will also be at FamFest), the show encourages children to choose love through games, laughter-filled moments and heart-to-heart joy and healing.

Aimed at children aged 4 to 12 the show follows MAfrika’s journey from the fantastical land of MinXa to find the WOWders and save her land from the Numshaq. It has toured South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe, delighting over 6 500 children and adults. Visit www.mafrika2012.com and www.theup.org.za for more information.
